Lunar nodes astrologically indicate two hypothetical points. Two separate points where the Moon’s orbit intersects the Sun’s orbit (Ecliptic) in the North and South. Lunar and Solar eclipses are the new and full moon positions that occur very close to the hypothetical points we call the nodes. The direction of the nodes is counterclockwise. North node ascending, South node descending. These two points are exactly 180 degrees opposite each other. If
KAD is 20 degrees Virgo, GAD is 20 degrees Pisces. Changes signs every 19 months. It takes 18-19 years for the zodiac to go back to the starting point one full turn. In Latin, it is called Caput Draconis and Cauda Draconis and is the compass of the soul. KAD is the head of the dragon and GAD is the tail of the dragon. We also call the sacred serpent Ouroboros, the serpent eating its own tail. These are not planets or asteroids and they always go retrograde. This angle of opposition is actually nothing but duality. Since we live in the sub-lunar realm, the Moon is a very important structure for us. Our spiritual journey is hidden in the lunar
nodes.
GAD (South Node) is filled with information from our past lives. It carries the accumulation of 7-9 lives on average. Our ingrained patterns of behavior are our addictions, our patterns. They are also our traumas. Especially the Moon nodes in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) give a very restrictive effect. It is Saturn in character and gives connections related to karma.
KAD shows the way we need to go in this life. Jupiter in character. It is the point we are afraid to turn to because it shows new and unexperienced experiences. Naturally, it is the point that needs to be drawn for the development of the soul. Here is the code of which areas we will be successful in life.
We can’t take anything with us materially when we leave this world, right? Our house, our car, our summer house, our favorite clothes. Yet everything we do, all our actions come with us. The location of the lunar nodes shows in which area we live / will experience our experiences, and the signs they are in show how we will live them. If GAD is Pisces, KAD is Virgo, and we must go to KAD Virgo. The important thing is to establish a balance between GAD and KAD. Rather than chasing the tail, choose to go your own way.
