The hidden layers of the human mind are being brought to light through art and technology. “Inside Humanity”, a project created by multidisciplinary artist and project creator Ru Ceylan, will open to the public on June 17 at the X Media Art Museum.
Inside Humanity, an experience-focused exhibition and content project that explores the human mind through the lens of art, data, and technology, brings together artworks generated from EEG data, data-driven visual narratives, and video art pieces. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to experience how measurable data from the human mind can be transformed into an aesthetic language.
Seeking to understand humanity not by its outward appearance but through its inner architecture, Inside Humanity reinterprets mental processes such as emotion, memory, creativity, and empathy through the language of art. Based on the idea that every person has a unique “mental imprint”, the project aims to make the invisible layers of human consciousness visible.
Human Mind Data Transforms into Art
Positioning technology not as an end in itself but as a tool for understanding humanity, Inside Humanity makes mental processes and emotions visible through the language of art. The project brings the relationship between data and emotion, and between science and creativity, to the audience in the form of an experiential exhibition.
Comprising four main sections “Components of the Mind” “Iconic Minds” “The Mental Architectures Behind Professions” and “The Neural Dramaturgy of Performance” the exhibition explores the human mind from diverse perspectives. Visitors encounter a unique experience where mental processes are reinterpreted through art.
The Invisible Architecture of the Mind Becomes Visible Through Art
The exhibition, which explores the human mind across its various layers, offers a broad perspective ranging from the fundamental components of the human mind to the mental worlds of figures who have left their mark throughout history, and from the thought processes of different professions to the mental movements that emerge during performance.
NeuroSanatKod, which forms the technological backbone of the project, stands out as a data-driven art system that transforms EEG data into visual compositions, movement structures, and digital art outputs. NeuroSanatKod, one of the pioneering works developed at the intersection of art and neuroscience in Turkey, won the Gold Award in the “Innovation” and “Benefit to Society” categories at the Turkish Researchers Association’s Baykuş Awards.
Opening on June 17 at X Media Art Museum, “Inside Humanity” invites visitors to explore the hidden layers of the human mind.
