A man
And a woman
In bed,
Sleeping…
In separate cities,
In different worlds.
And one day,
Those worlds unite…
Days never end,
And loneliness no longer falls
Into the nights…
I realized that melancholy poems
Are what made me this way:
Sad poems…
Let the nightmares that strike at midnight
End and go away!
I should have a beautiful dream tonight:
From the sleep I entered alone,
I should wake up with love!
This is what my heart desires,
May the Creator hear!
May my love never bring me down from above the clouds.
May the promises made never be erased.
So that they descend from the sky like a revelation!
May lips always be sealed with love,
May apologies be made without pride in love,
And may the sins for which apologies are made not even exist…
May it start with innocent glances,
And continue with sincere smiles.
For instance, forty years on one pillow is not enough,
May this dream extend to one hundred and twenty…
Then may this body never age,
Even if it ages, may love remain young,
Even, may love stay as a child, stay with hope.
Let it remain carefree, indifferent,
Not knowing what it wants!
Let it remain insatiable, hungry,
Getting on and off at stops:
On a September morning,
In an April rain,
In an August heat,
In a January cold, let it wander…
May love not be tainted with troubles,
May it remain pure,
Like a lotus flower blooming in a swamp,
May it be as simple and concise as a Japanese Haiku,
May its reign last a century!
May love continue as if a withered flower is watered and revived.
May it be the wealth of books,
Buried in silence, as it remains unspoken!
May it scream out loud as it is read!
May love bring joy to my soul,
May love bring joy to my heart,
May love come without me saying come see me, love!
Who knows in which land you are waiting,
Love, why don’t you take my hand?
Let love ask riddles,
Let love offer tongue twisters,
May love’s childlike mind always ask for me!
Universe, I am writing to you,
You must hear me…
I now want love and affection,
Let it be simple, without lies,
Pure and clean like me…
