Hello everyone!

Dear ArttModernMiami readers, I am Aras, also known as Arastrology. Throughout 2024, I will be with you at ArttModernMiami as your Astrologer. I have been involved in astrology since I was a little boy, and I have been professionally interested in it for 5 years. I have studied Neo-Classical Astrology, Galactic Astrology, Esoteric/Cabbalistic Astrology, and Vedic Astrology and I do my practice by blending what I have learned from these 4 different types of astrology and using the Sidereal Zodiac. These trainings have helped me to deepen in astrology and to have a more comprehensive astrological understanding by bringing together the perspectives of different cultures. If I need to give brief and concise information about the content of my training;

Neo-Classical astrology: It is a type of astrology that is based on traditional Western astrological techniques and combines and develops them with modern astrological approaches.

Galactic Astrology: It is a type of Western astrology that gathers Egyptian, Sumerian, Babylonian, Greek, and early medieval Persian astrology under a common roof, adheres to the roots of classical astrology, and uses a sidereal zodiac based on the Galactic center and the golden ratio.

Vedic Astrology: A type of astrology based on the ancient religious and cultural tradition of India, originating from the Indian Vedas and using the Sidereal zodiac.

Esoteric/Kabbalistic Astrology: A type of astrology that deals with Kabbalah teachings in the tradition of Jewish mysticism using the Tree of Life.

So, what is the Sidereal Zodiacal Astrology system? First of all, it is worth mentioning the following. In astrology, the zodiacs are divided into the Tropical Zodiac and Sidereal Zodiac. The Tropical Zodiac (the most common zodiac that everyone knows and uses today) is based on the seasons, while the Sidereal Zodiac is based on the constellations. The Sidereal Zodiac astrology system is a more ancient type of astrology, but today, about 95% of the world uses the Tropical Zodiac in their astrology studies (excluding India, of course). However, since the Tropical Zodiac does not take into account the precession movement of the earth in its calculations, it deviates from the actual sky values by 1 degree every 72 years, so that a total of 1 zodiac sign is deviated every 2160 years. This cycle lasts for approximately 25920 years, so at the end of every 25920 years, the Tropical Zodiac and the Sidereal Zodiac show equal values. This equality lasts until 72 years pass and the Tropical Zodiac deviates by 1 degree. The last time the Tropical Zodiac and the Sidereal Zodiac were equalized was around 350 A.D., so for almost 1700 years the Tropical Zodiac has been deviating and the Sidereal Zodiac has been using the true sky values. This brings the difference between the two Zodiacs to an average of 20 degrees today (1 zodiac sign = 30 degrees, so there is almost 1 zodiac sign deviation today). For example, if a person’s Sun is 10 degrees in Taurus in the Tropical Zodiac, it is 20 degrees in Aries in the Sidereal Zodiac due to the difference of 20 degrees. Therefore, I use the sidereal zodiacal astrology system both for technical reasons and for my own experience in my work. Those who want to look at their birth charts as Sidereal Zodiac can choose Hipparcos as the Ayanamsa value and the Whole sign as the house system.
