ArtTmodernmiami builds new bridges through cinema with the Melting Pot Film Festival.
Rome | May 28–29, 2027
Art reaches new audiences across borders through meaningful connections. ARTTMODERNMIAMI is adding a new chapter to its international cultural and cinematic collaborations by partnering with the inaugural Melting Pot Film Festival in Rome.
Taking place at The Cineclub on May 28–29, 2027, the festival will introduce the winner of each category to our readers through exclusive interviews published in ARTTMODERNMIAMI. Focusing on the creative minds behind the films, these conversations will carry the dialogue beyond the festival and across borders. ARTTMODERNMIAMI founder, producer and artist Tuğba Yazıcı will also serve on the Best Independent Production jury.
With a publishing and production vision that reaches from Miami to the world, we help original projects, creative talent and cultural initiatives gain international visibility. We see every partnership as the beginning of new stories and lasting relationships.
We also invite young filmmakers and university students to apply to the Melting Pot Film Festival. For creative voices with something to say about cultural diversity, identity, migration and human connection, the festival offers an opportunity to share their work in an international setting. Submissions for documentaries, short films and the Emerging Talent / New Talent category for university students are accepted through FilmFreeway, with entries closing in December 2026.
Our next destination is Rome. We look forward to discovering the new voices that cinema brings together.

Cultures Meet Through Cinema in Rome
Conceived and directed by filmmaker and screenwriter Livia Oya Proto, the Melting Pot Film Festival will hold its first edition at The Cineclub in Rome on May 28–29, 2027. The event is supported by cinematographer and The Cineclub owner Davide Manca, with an artistic collaboration from AlVideo Market, the cultural association founded by Antimo Leva and Manuel Martinati.
Cultural diversity, identity, migration, collective memory and human connection are at the heart of the festival. The selected works will explore encounters between communities, experiences of coexistence and the transformations that emerge through these exchanges, using the language of cinema.
The festival will open with an out-of-competition screening of Life Again, directed by Livia Oya Proto. Independent actors Suna Gritli and Jacopo Mastro Monaco will host the event. On one festival evening, actor and Nostalghia podcast co-founder Fabrizio Ciavoni will lead a conversation with the winners of the Best Documentary, Best Short Film and Best Director awards.
Graphic designer and Mulière feminist art collective founder Naz Paşali will also organize an exhibition in collaboration with the festival, expanding the program beyond screenings and conversations to include the visual arts.
