B\u00fcy\u00fcd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcm\u00fcz ve deneyimledi\u011fimiz kentte, ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z, biriktirdi\u011fimiz an\u0131lar\u0131m\u0131z ve duyular\u0131m\u0131z bizim kimli\u011fimizi olu\u015fturur. Hat\u0131ralar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n ve duygular\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n somut yans\u0131mas\u0131, etraf\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 \u00e7evreleyen mekanlar ve onu olu\u015fturan mimarl\u0131kt\u0131r. Mimarl\u0131k bizim hayat ile aram\u0131zdaki ileti\u015fimin semboller ile boyut kazanmas\u0131d\u0131r. Kentin kimli\u011fini olu\u015fturan onun<br>i\u00e7indeki hayatlard\u0131r. Bu bireylerin ya\u015fad\u0131klar\u0131 kentteki an\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131, deneyimledikleri mekan olu\u015fturur. Bu ba\u011flamda, kent kimli\u011fi, kentte ya\u015fayanlar\u0131n karakterleri, k\u00fclt\u00fcrleri ve al\u0131\u015fkanl\u0131klar\u0131, an\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 ve ge\u00e7mi\u015flerini yaratan mekan\u0131n mimari etkileri ile olu\u015fur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bir Avrupa \u015fehrinde, sokaklarda rastgele dolan\u0131rken, bina cephelerinin dokusundan, materyalinden, tasar\u0131m\u0131ndan ve motiflerinden o b\u00f6lgenin k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc, karakterini ve ge\u00e7mi\u015fini deneyimleriz. Mimari \u00f6geler onu deneyimleyen bireylerin karakterlerini ve duyular\u0131n\u0131 etkilerken bireylerde kulland\u0131klar\u0131 mekan\u0131, rutinleri ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrleri ile anlamland\u0131r\u0131rlar. Buna, k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcm\u00fczden en yak\u0131n \u00f6rnek T\u00fcrk evlerindeki kap\u0131 tokma\u011f\u0131n\u0131n o k\u00fclt\u00fcrdeki sembolik anlam\u0131d\u0131r. Eskiden eve misafir geldi\u011finde evin sakinleri ile ilk kar\u015f\u0131la\u015fmalar\u0131, o evin kap\u0131s\u0131 ve tokma\u011f\u0131d\u0131r. Evin tokma\u011f\u0131 ile el s\u0131k\u0131\u015farak eve giri\u015f yap\u0131l\u0131r. T\u00fcrk evlerinde, evin kap\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n \u015fekli ve kap\u0131 tokma\u011f\u0131, hanedeki ailenin k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fcn, ekonomik d\u00fczeyinin ve karakterinin bir sembol\u00fcd\u00fcr. Evin giri\u015f kap\u0131s\u0131, kent \u00f6l\u00e7e\u011finde, \u015fehre giri\u015f kavram\u0131n\u0131 sembolize eden o \u015fehrin karakterini ve k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc yans\u0131tan bir \u00f6gedir. \u00d6rne\u011fin, \u0130talya\u2019n\u0131n her \u015fehrinin bir kap\u0131s\u0131 vard\u0131r. Bu kap\u0131 \u00fczerindeki motifler ve kap\u0131n\u0131n tasar\u0131m\u0131 o kentin tarihini bize anlat\u0131r. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla bu sembolik \u00f6ge, \u015fehir halk\u0131n\u0131n karakterinin de bir betimlemesidir. Tabelalar y\u00f6nlendirmek istedikleri yeri sembol etmek amac\u0131 ile form bulur. Tabela \u015fehri olan Las Vegas, bu sembolik ak\u0131m\u0131n yaratt\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir mekand\u0131r. Las Vegas\u2019 \u0131n bulvar\u0131 olan Strip, tabelalar\u0131n sembolize etti\u011fi kavram\u0131n mimari formun \u00fczerine ge\u00e7ti\u011fi bir<br>aland\u0131r. Burada baz\u0131 \u00f6rneklerde, tabelalar, sembol ettikleri kavramlar\u0131n bi\u00e7imini al\u0131rlar. Mimarl\u0131k yolu ile ileti\u015fime ge\u00e7ilmesinden \u00f6te tamamen ileti\u015fim amac\u0131 ile formlar\u0131n olu\u015fturulmas\u0131 s\u00f6z konusudur. Bunun en b\u00fcy\u00fck etkisi ise bir t\u00fcketim toplumunun olu\u015fturulmak istenmesidir. Bu mekan olu\u015fturulurken, kullan\u0131c\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n karakterlerinin ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrlerinin, t\u00fcketmek \u00fczerine kodlanmas\u0131 ama\u00e7lanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Bundan dolay\u0131, kullan\u0131c\u0131y\u0131 y\u00f6nlendirilmek istenilen mekana do\u011frudan harekete ge\u00e7irmek amac\u0131 ile y\u00f6nlendirici formlar sembol ettikleri kavram\u0131n kendisi olarak \u015fekillenirler. \u00d6rne\u011fin, Las Vegas\u2019taki \u00f6rdek formunda tasarlanm\u0131\u015f bir bina, fonksiyon olarak \u00f6rdek ve yumurta satmak i\u00e7in kullan\u0131l\u0131r.
